WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO APPLY TO THE EDRIDGE FUND?
The purpose of the Edridge Fund is to provide financial assistance to employees in the Probation Service, and Family Courts Service, who are in financial distress, and can demonstrate that they are in hardship. This includes employees in both the National Probation Service and the Community Rehabilitation Companies. This also applies to retired staff, and in some circumstances to staff who have either resigned, or retired on grounds of ill health.
Applicants do not have to be a member of Napo to be eligible, though there is a strict criteria that they should be in a form of employment where they would be eligible to join Napo. If you are a member of another union we would expect you to apply to their own Welfare Fund first. Further information on this is included the “Applications Guidelines” page which is linked below.
